The Dance Place is pleased to announce that our annual Gulf Coast Stars dance tournament will be held every April and October. This event is geared toward having a very enjoyable experience in the competitive dance arena. This activity is great for people who have never or rarely competed because it is right here at The Dance Place. You don’t have to travel real far to participate, and the atmosphere is warm and very friendly.

We realize that not all dancers want to get into the “hard core” competitive scene where you have to pay thousands of dollars to get there and hundreds more dollars to enter just to participate in events in cities far away from friends and families. That’s why we put together our Gulf Coast Stars – so you can invite all your friends to come and see you dance and cheer you on to victory! And the prices are very reasonable, so you can pay for all your entries, your registration fee and even all of your friends tickets for less than just your entry fees would cost at most competitions.

This is really a terrific day where dancers of all skill levels from beginner to advanced can have a fantastic time showing off their burgeoning dance talents. To get in on the action, send an email to [email protected] or call 713-266-0066

Every year on the Saturday before Christmas, The Dance Place presents its Annual Christmas Show.

The Annual Christmas Show presented by The Dance Place has become one of those “must attend” items on people’s calendars. The show is “open”, which means that not only do our own students and teachers participate, but teachers and students from all over the city join us for this large and spectacular event.

2014 Gulf Coast Stars Dance Tournament was a great success!

We would like to thank everyone who helped and participated in the event. Without all of you, this event wouldn’t be as exciting as it has been!

First of all, we’d like to thank our judges Joe Loranzo, Ronnie Leverett, and Barbara King, and Philips Stephens, who provided us their expertise and time for the tournament.

Also special thanks to the MC Jason Kaye, who kept us on schedule with his humor, and DJ Wally Maxwell, bravo to his great music selections. It was such an enjoyment to have them cruise the competition all day long!
