New Teacher, New Classes

The Dance Place extends a warm welcome to A J Wiley, a teacher with a smile as big as Texas, a great sense of humor, and unrivaled enthusiasm for teaching folk how to dance.
A J Wiley brings several years of experience to The Dance Place as a teacher, a show dancer and as a professional competitor. He will be starting a Level 1 Salsa class on Wednesday nights at 7pm beginning on July 7. This will be a great opportunity for folk who've been thinking about learning Salsa to get in on the basics. Once this class gets underway and folk are ready to graduate to a higher level, we will add a level 2 class.
A J will be "subbing" for Phillip Stephens in July and August, teaching a class on Rumba at 8pm on Wednesdays in July and a class on Foxtrot at 8pm on Wednesdays during August. This is the Level 3 Ballroom class. You don't have to be an "expert" to attend these classes, but you should be well versed in the basics and be able to move at a faster than beginner pace. If you are unsure if this is the right level for you, try one class and then decide.
A J is attending our Friday Night Practice Parties, so you might want to Waltz on over here and check him out. In addition to teaching these classes, A J is also available for private lessons. Talk to him at the parties or pick up one of his business cards and give him a call or send him an email. He will be happy to get you started on the road to good dancing.
