Master P is STILL there???

Master P is still going strong but folk like Tatum and Giselle have been booted. He won't comply with requests that he put on dance shoes, wear dance costumes, get a decent hair style or even just 86 that hat!
To top it all off, he's not very good at dancing.
So what gives? How is this dude managing to stay on the show through the 3rd week and into the 4th?
Well, he does have an extremely large fan base that is faithful about calling in every week to vote for him, but there is more to it than that.
Even the judges recognize that he tries hard and actually improves with each dance. Tatum O'Neal actually got worse from week 1 to week 2, so it was right and proper that she be eliminated. While Giselle has presented good performances right from the start, there has been no substantial improvement in her dancing since the beginning.
In general, all of these people are doing an amazing thing. It would be extremely difficult for a dancer to go out on the hockey rink with only 5 weeks of training and give a winning performance. Or in track, football, baseball, or just about anything else you can name. While I would much prefer to see Master P in the proper footwear and attire for what he's doing, I'll cut him a bit of slack and recognize what he has accomplished so far in this not so easy and totally foreighn to him field of dance.
And I must applaud him for the message he presents every week, and reiterated again this morning on "The View": He is telling young people that life is what you make of it, that they can try new things like he's doing, and that they shouldn't just sit back and whine about the cards life dealt them by birth. He started on the road to his extremely successful current position by selling CDs from the back of his car. He truly does stand as a shining example of the realization of the American Dream.
