Hurricane Rita Information
from
The Dance Place
We don't really know where the storm is headed, but, in light of predictions that it will hit somewhere between Madagorda and Galveston, precautions are in order. Please be aware of the following:
Due to the overriding uncertainty of the approaching storm, Phillip and Michael have decided to close the studio at 5pm Friday, September 23, 2005.
Depending on power outages, water availability and other factors (Like: do we still have windows and doors), we will reopen on Monday, September 26, 2005.
Our entry locks are electronic: if the power goes out, that system doesn't work. Because of that fly in the ointment, we still have a real key with which to lock/unlock the doors.
TEACHERS PLEASE NOTE: We will be using a real key Friday when we close the studio. Your electronic key will not open the door. Please be aware of this, and cancel all your lessons and classes accordingly.
If it is necessary to keep the studio closed Monday and later, we will do our best to make that fact known. However: We cannot guarantee that we will have the means with which to contact you. Please be understanding of this fact.
If the storm hits as close as is being predicted, it is likely that the studio will sustain damage; in that event we would appreciate any and all offers of assistance in our clean up efforts.
Hoping that everyone stays safe and well during the storm, and thanking you for your understanding during this uncertain time,
Phillip Stephens and Michael Schedler
