We just want to make sure you all know that we are NOT having any Friday Night Practice Parties again until Friday, January 5, 2007. Our last party for this year was on Friday, December 8th.
Most of the Class Lessons have "run their course" for the current year, and will resume during January. You should check the calendar to be sure when the class you like starts up again. Raul Orlando Edwards has an exciting "Exercise to Music" class called "Lose it to Salsa" that will get started again at 6pm on Thursday, January 18. The 7pm Friday Ballroom Essentials class Phillip Stephens teaches will resume with East Coast Swing on Friday, January 5. For other classes, check out the schedule at www.the-dance-place.com.
Our 21st Annual Holiday Show is just a couple of days away. We have all been working on routines and costumes, and are ready to "strut our stuff" beginning at 7:30pm Saturday, December 16. The show will take place in the main ballroom of The Dance Place at 3300 Chimney Rock, suite 500. Tickets - $25 or $30 - are still available. If you'd like to join us, come on down or give me (Michael) a call at 832-721-3968 to make a reservation.
If you come to watch the show, we ask that you wear "after 5" apparel, and we caution ladies to dress warm or bring a wrap. The dancers like it REALLY COLD, which means the audience freezes if not prepared. While we sell all sorts of soft drinks, we don't sell alcohol. However, you can bring your own alcoholic beverages.
